Invite the most advanced societies to put on imaginary "glasses" that allow them to see the reality of other cultures, in order to observe and understand the world.
The Focus ON project began with the trip of our volunteer Aina Tugas to Nepal as part of the “Mirada Solidaria” project led by the Multiópticas Foundation, to support the communication work of the solidarity graduation and delivery of sunglasses and reading glasses to Nepalese society. In exchange, from the LLYC Foundation, we wanted to make “glasses” that would help our employees, friends, allies and followers in our social assets to see the reality of Nepalese society and culture through other eyes, their own
Aina was in charge of searching, finding and writing inspiring stories full of vital lessons that we should not forget. In addition, through the play of camera focus, she used the techniques of focusing and blurring to emphasise the message of the difference between what appeared to be and what is.
In addition, after reading Aina’s short-stories, at the LLYC Foundation we wanted to go further and find more stories in more countries told by more people that would help us to bring cultures closer together, combat prejudice and rescue those truly important values that we sometimes tend to put aside due to our pace of life. In the end, our volunteer Elena Rodríguez designed a “Travel Diary” template available in different formats (PPT or PDF) for anyone who may want to write their own stories.
